Menadue Management Trust, Sidmouth, Devon
Menadue is a residential activity centre in North Cornwall based around a Grade II listed, 18th Century Farmhouse. A £4,500 grant from Benefact Trust is supporting Menadue Management Trust – which promotes the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual welfare of young people - to develop the centre’s existing accommodation to create additional rooms and accessible facilities, and enable Menadue to be used year-round by many more school groups.

St Saviour’s Church, Finsbury Park, London
A £4,500 grant from Benefact Trust will help St Saviour’s Church to restore a dilapidated and unused church hall into a thriving community space serving the needs of the local area, including a community cafe for local families, creative work-space, and event space to host community programmes. The hall will connect to a large outdoor garden, which was made available to the community in the summer of 2020. Both the hall and the garden will bring local people together again as restrictions ease.
Arena Church, Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Arena Ministry School is a training initiative created to empower more people into ministry, so that they can reach out and support people through increasingly challenging times. Running since 2019, the school has operated from Arena Church with very limited space available. With this in mind, the church has purchased a dedicated teaching building 100 yards away, and a £5,000 grant from Benefact Trust will go towards its renovation so that future ministers can grow and thrive there.
York City Church, Yorkshire
£3,000 of Benefact Trust funding is supporting the refit of York City Church’s Citadel Kitchen. This will help the church to expand on its successful community initiatives, particularly serving those who are poor or marginalised, through the weekly foodbank and refugee drop-in.
